National Project Performance Review Committee (NPPRC)
Constituted under the first phase of the ACE Project in Nigeria, the National Project Performance Review Committee (NPPRC) is the steering committee for the ACE Project in Nigeria. It was set up to monitor project implementation, provide useful feedback about project progress and ensure that challenges within the Centres of Excellence are addressed, for the achievement of Project goals. The Committee holds biannual meetings, usually ahead of the regional ACE workshops, to review Project performance.
The NPPRC is chaired by the Executive Secretary of the National Universities Commission (NUC) and has the Vice-Chancellors of participating universities and Centre Leaders of the ACEs as members. Other members of the Committee are representatives of stakeholder Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs), such as the Office of the Accountant-General of the Federation, the Agricultural Research Council of Nigeria and the Federal Ministries of Education, Health and Environment.
